About this Product
A unique and attractive orchid mount to show-off your orchid collection or epiphytic plant. These mounts make a great addition to how you display your orchids. Made from stoneware clay which will last indefinitely verses organic mounts, such as wood or cork, that eventually rots or degrades over time. This orchid mount is flat, brown in color , unglazed and has very fine impregnated hole texture on the surface face side. Approximate dimensions are 10-3/4" X 5-1/4" . Rectangle shape. Thickness of clay is approximate 1/4" . Dimensions are in inches.

Meet the Maker
My name is Andrew Moore. I started ceramics about seven years ago inspired by my hobbies and desire to design and create new products for the garden, fish aquarium, and reptile pet hobbies. I saw the opportunities for new ceramic products to introduce to these hobbies.
Currently I am focused on products for the garden or plant hobbies, particularly orchids or epiphytic plants. The potential variety of designs for orchid mounts is endless.

If you have the need for certain dimensions of a mount, please reach out to me. It's possible to create the dimensions you need for your plant.
How it’s Made
Handmade from rolled stoneware clay slabs and various hand tools. Once dried, piece is then fired to cone 6 in a ceramic kiln. The whole process takes several days. Although I repeat many of my designs, each piece is made by hand, unique and no two pieces are exactly the same. Many of my designs are intended to be rough hewn in appearance with imperfections such as divots, rough and random shaped edges.
